Universal Protection Solutions provides Maritime Security Solutions for the protection of all maritime assets. All security solutions are tailored to suit the individual client requirements in both the commercial and private sector. Our service adheres to all current legislation, International law and best practice where appropriate. Our maritime security teams consist of highly skilled, qualified personnel some of whom are from the Special Boat Squadron (SBS) and Royal Marine Commandos and who possess a wealth of experience gained over the years.
Maritime Security Solutions include but not limited to the following:
New build advice - Current legalisation and increased threats against vessels requires the need for affective security solutions to be incorporated during the new build regardless of the size of the yacht. (Safe Rooms- Anti Piracy Measures – Cameras – TI etc)
ISPS Compliance – Since the change in the law in 2004 it is now compulsory that any yacht over a certain gross tonnage needs to be ISPS compliant. This will involve an experienced maritime security consultant surveying the yacht and producing a SSA and SSP.
High Risk Transits – Piracy is global issue and is currently at the forefront of the news, to combat piracy we could offer a bespoke solution to reduce the risk of the vessel being hijacked.
Maritime Executive Protection – To ensure the clients at risk are afforded the appropriate level of protection whilst operating from the yacht.
Crew Security Training - we can carry out on-board security training to cover SSO search training, security awareness, etc.
Tracker Systems – Ship Security Alert System and Designated Person Ashore cover with the use of the Company Security Officer.
Piracy Intelligence Report - Gathered from various sources to provide the master with as much information as possible to aid in his passage plan.
Yacht Searches – A technical sweep to provide sound reassurance that the yacht is “clean” particularly recommended after a change of ownership a period in the yard.
